Nigersaurus taqueti was a smaller rebbachisaurid sauropod that lived approximately 113 million years ago.
Nigersaurus fossils are particularly associated with the Elrhaz Formation of Niger, which preserves a diverse Early Cretaceous dinosaur fauna. The species lived alongside other fascinating dinosaurs, including large theropods and crocodile relatives.
