Sericho Pallasite Meteorites Discovery
While looking for their camels in 2016, two brothers discovered a number of big, dense stones south of Sericho, Kenya, and west of the settlement of Habaswein. They concluded that they were meteorites because there are no rocks in this area. They gathered them and transported them to their Habaswein residences over the course of several weeks. Camel herders had known about the masses for decades, but they were only identified as meteorites in 2016.
