Collection: Palaeocarcharodon orientalis Shark Teeth

Palaeocarcharodon orientalis is an extinct species of prehistoric shark that lived during the Paleocene, approximately 60 million years ago. It belonged to the same group of sharks that includes modern mako sharks and the great white shark.

Fossil teeth of Palaeocarcharodon orientalis are distinctive and highly collectible. They typically feature a triangular crown with well developed serrations along the cutting edges, a shape adapted for grasping and cutting prey. Compared to later giant sharks such as Otodus megalodon, the teeth are generally smaller but often display excellent enamel preservation and sharp serrations.
