Collection: Crocodile Fossils from Niger – Giants of the Sahara

During the Cretaceous period (about 100 million years ago), the region now known as Niger was a lush wetland inhabited not only by dinosaurs but also by colossal crocodiles. Among them was the famous Sarcosuchus imperator, the “supercroc,” which could grow up to 11 meters in length. Fossils from Niger reveal the dominance of these massive aquatic predators.

Our Niger crocodile fossil collection includes teeth, jaws, and bone fragments that highlight the incredible size and diversity of these ancient reptiles. Each specimen offers collectors a direct link to a vanished ecosystem once thriving in the Sahara.
