Petrified wood forms when ancient trees, buried under sediment millions of years ago, undergo a process of permineralization. Minerals such as quartz and chalcedony gradually replace the organic material, preserving the tree’s original growth rings and textures in stunning detail.

Our petrified wood collection includes specimens from various periods and locations, ranging from colorful polished slices from famous locations in Arizona, Indonesia and Madagascar to natural rough fragments form Germany. Each piece is a unique bridge between fossil and gemstone.
