About Petrified Wood
Petrified wood is a remarkable type of fossil that forms when organic wood material is gradually replaced by minerals, resulting in a stone-like preservation of the original structure.
Formation Process:
Petrified wood forms through a process called permineralization, which occurs over millions of years under specific geological conditions.
