Collection: Afrovenator fossils for sale
Afrovenator, was a bipedal predator boasting a formidable array of sharp teeth and three claws on each hand. Based on the solitary skeleton known, this dinosaur measured approximately 9 meters in length from snout to tail tip.
The fossilized remains of Afrovenator were uncovered in the Tiourarén Formation in the department of Agadez, Niger. Interestingly, the same formation also yielded the sauropod Jobaria, first mentioned in the same paper introducing Afrovenator.
Most analyses position Afrovenator within Megalosauridae.
