Rare chinese Trilobite, from Laiwu Shandong province China.
This creature lived during the cambrium Era, This trilobite is measuring 7.6cm in length.
Odontopleurid trilobites belonging to the Damesellidae family are mostly discovered in marine strata from the late Middle to Late Cambrian in China. Odontopleurids of the family Damesellidae are closely related to odontopleurids, however Damesellids are not nearly as spinose or have as exaggerated of spines. Damesellids have broad, bar-shaped cranidia with ledge-like edges, just like Odontopleuridae odontopleurids. The Damesellidae may be intermediate species between the more advanced odontopleurids and the more primitive, potentially ancestral ptychopariids.
