  • Devonian period, approx. 370 million years old

Authentic Orthoceras fossil from the Devonian period (~370 million years ago), found in the black limestone formations of the Sahara Desert in Morocco. A stunning piece of prehistoric marine life—perfect for collectors, educational use, or natural home décor.

Orthoceras, meaning “straight horn,” is an extinct cephalopod related to modern squids, octopuses, and nautiluses. These fossils are easily recognized by their elongated, segmented shells and are some of the oldest known marine fossils.

Our Orthoceras specimens are selected from Morocco’s famous fossil beds and professionally polished to enhance the visible structure. Each piece is unique and often displays multiple fossils within a single slab of natural limestone.
