This rare Damesella paronai trilobite fossil is a large and well-preserved specimen from the Cambrian period (~500 million years ago).
Representing some of Earth’s earliest complex marine life Found in the fossil-rich deposits of China, this trilobite represents one of the earlier and rarer species, predating many of the more familiar Devonian trilobites.
With its distinct elongated body, fine ribbed thoracic segments, and clearly defined cephalon, Damesella paronai is highly sought after by collectors.
