This fine Scutellum species trilobite fossil from the Devonian period (~380 million years ago) comes from the famous fossil beds of Morocco. Belonging to the order Corynexochida, Scutellum is known for its oval, streamlined body and beautifully textured exoskeleton.

The specimen is nicely preserved on its original matrix, showcasing excellent detail in the thorax and pygidium.
