- Tooth + root: 2.50" = 6,36 cm
- Khouribga, Morocco
- Late Cretaceous, 85–66 million years
This impressive rooted Globidens tooth fossil originates from Morocco and dates to the Late Cretaceous period. Globidens was a unique genus of mosasaur, specialized in crushing hard-shelled prey such as ammonites and mollusks, which is reflected in its robust, rounded teeth.
Unlike many loose mosasaur teeth, this specimen retains part of the original root, adding to its scientific and collector value. The enamel shows strong natural coloration and wear consistent with feeding behavior.
