Location: Ace Basin, South Carlina, USA
Age: Late Pleistocene
Condition: Unrestored, natural
This is a genuine fossil tooth from an Ice Age horse (Equus sp.), found in the Ace Basin region of South Carolina. Dating back to the Late Pleistocene this specimen features classic crowned enamel and grinding surfaces, perfectly adapted for grazing tough grasses.
These ancient horses once roamed North America alongside mammoths, giant sloths, and saber-toothed cats.
